Makante Achan is a new movie that is in progress in Malayalam film industry. This new family entertainer features Sreenivasan and his son Vineeth Sreenivasan in the lead as father and son in it respectively. National Award winning actress Suhasini will play the mother's role to Vineeth. This family entertainer will be directed by V M Vinu.The film is a typical Sreenivasan type of story set in a lower middle class family. In the film Sreenivasan plays a duty conscious government officer while Vineeth plays his wayward son. In the film Jagathy play a fake Godman who runs an Ashram, where nefarious activities take place.
When asked about the movie V M Vinu, the director of the movie gets talkative and he said it was a casting coup of sorts to get real life father and son to play the same role on screen. The script of the movie was handled by Narayanan. The camera is by Manoj Pilllai, and music by M.Jayachandran.
Makante Achan is produced by Seven Arts and is due for release in January.
