Ajith has finally found the director of his choice. Sivaji Productions Ram Kumar and his brother Prabhu it seems have heaved a sigh of relief. It was heard first that Gautham Menon is going to direct the movie but later it changed to Dharani and later to Vishnuvardhan, but now it is fixed that Saran will do the job for Ajith.Saran an all time favourite of Thalai is the chosen one. Saran has done a hat-trick of films with the star like Kadhal Mannan, Amarkalam and Attagasam. Now Saran and Ajith are together for the fourth time in Asal.
It is the ultimate star's 49th film. Harris Jayaraj who had earlier been signed by Sivaji Productions, when Gautham Menon was the director has said that he would be delighted to work with Ajith and Saran. Earlier Sivaji Productions had signed agreement with Sameera Reddy as Gowtham had suggested and now she is being sustained for female lead.
The rest of the star cast and technicians are being firmed up. The shoot of the film will be firmed up only after Saran completes his Modi Vilayadu.
