New Malayalam film Anwar to start soon


Younger Superstar of Malayalam film industry, Prithviraj is all set to star in his new film with the most stylish film maker in Malayalam, Amal Neerad. This new Malayalam film, which is titled as Anwar will have Prithviraj in a new stylish look. This is for the first time that Prithviraj and Amal Neerad is joining together for a film.

Mamta Mohandas is the heroine of this film and the pair of Prithviraj and Mamta is going to happen for the first time in the industry. This is the new Malayalam film for Mamta, after the last year's hit film, Passenger. Apart from these two, this film also features Prakash Raj, Lal and many others.

Amal who is known as the director who specializes in creating the most stylish appearances and presentations is collaborating with R Unni for scripting the movie as in his debut film Big B with Megastar Mammootty. Amal's second film was Saagar Alias Jacky-Reloaded with Universal star Mohanlal. Shooting for this new film will start at Cochin very soon.

Amal Neerad presents a debutant cameraman Satheesh Kurup and his friend Gopi Sundar will be in charge of music. Produced by Rajesh Zacharias under the banner Red Carpet Films will reach theatres in April 2010.

Surya's 25th film will be 'Singam'

Most happening hero of Tamil film industry, Surya will start his prestigious 25th film with the mass masala director Hari. The film which is titled as Singam will start only after Surya completes his film in progress, Aadhavan with K S Ravikumar. Surya is currently enjoying the huge success of his latest film Ayan, which is now stated as the biggest hit ever in his career, surpassing the film Ghajani.

The major highlight of this new film will be that Surya is going to act the role of a tough police officer for the second time in his career, after the blockbuster Kaakha Kaakha. This film will be the third one for Surya with Hari, their previous films were the Superhits Vel and Aaru. The other notable thing is that Hari too is making a police story for the second time after that blockbuster Saamy with Vikram.

This new film, Singam will be an action packed Cop movie with the right mix of sentiments and comedy like all Hari films. Anushka, the most happening actress in the south has been roped in to play the lady lead in it. Also Devi Sri Prasad, another hot property in south will handle the music department of the film. It's also hearing that Prakash Raj and Vivek will have two of the vital roles in the movie.

This new Surya starrer will be produced by Gjanavel of Studio Green who has made Sillunnu Oru kathal with Surya himself and highly acclaimed Paruthiveeran earlier.

Mahesh Babu's new film

Prince of Telugu film industry, Mahesh Babu is back after a long gap of about two years, since his last film was Athidi in 2007. Mahesh Babu's next movie will be with hit director Trivikram. The film is currently titled as Varudu, but it is heard that the title might be changed in the future. Producer Singanamala Ramesh is making the movie on Kanaka Ratna Movies banner.

Mahesh Babu, who doesnot have even a single release in 2008 is now eagerly waiting for this project to start, so that he can hold on to the top spot among the Telugu stars. The film Varudu was actually meant to start it's shooting several months back, but it didn’t start as planned. Now the film will start from this month onwards, ie by 21st of January 2009.

The film will be a mega budget entertainer, and will present Mahesh Babu as a taxi driver in it. The cast also features Prakash Raj and Suneel in it. According to the current fixture, the film will be canned in the deserts of Rajastan for a period of 60 days. The crew will camp in the location at Hyderabad till the end of January and will move on to Rajasthan from the 1st week of February.

One of the major highlight of the movie will be the colorful songs which will be choreographed by Saroj Khan and Vaibhav Marchant from Bollywood and the theme song will be choreographed by actor Raju Sundaram. Music of the film will be handled by Mani Sharma.

Let's wait for this new film from Prince of Tollywood Mahesh Babu.....

Gilli to follow Ghajani

Tamil Superhit Ghajani starring Surya and Asin is now all set to release in Bollywood with a remade version starring Aamir and Asin. With the film hitting the theatres on the same day of Christmas everyone in the industry are expecting a great smash by the film. After Ghajani it's now the turn for Gilli to be remade. Yet another Tamil Superhit which featured Vijay and Trisha in it was actually a Telugu film featuring Mahesh Babu and Trisha in the lead.

Announcement have been now officially made. Harman Beweja who debuted in the Hindi film Love Story 2050 replaces Vijay in the remake and Deepika Padukone comes in for Trisha. It will be Arjun Rampal on for the powerful role acted by the veteran Prakash Raj. K. S. Adhiyaman is expected to direct the film.

Harman is now currently acting in two films, one with Ashutosh Gowariker's What's your Rashi? which is a romantic comedy and It's My Life. Accidentally It's My Life is also a remake from yet another Tamil hit Santosh Subramaniam with Jayam Ravi and Telugu hit Bommarillu with Siddharth.

Mohanlal's new film sets a record

Bharath Padmasree Mohanlal is a name that all the film lovers in India would know about. He is popular all over India for his style of acting and good character. Most of the films of this Superstar of Malayalam film industry have been remade in almost all other languages in India, even in Bollywood too. He is known for his desire to do more artistic films than any other star in this country.

Mohanlal is going to make a new record with his new film. The film which is titled as Bhagavan, directed by debutant Prasanth Mambulli is now going to hold the record in the history of commercial cinema by completing the entire shooting in just 12 hours using nine camera units. The shooting began at 9 a.m. and ended at 9 p.m. on Monday at Kunnamkulam near Thrissur.

Mohanlal is playing the lead role in this movie as a gynecologist in a hospital. The theme of the movie is about some terrorists trying to kidnap the home minister who was admitted in a hospital. The film contains chilling scenes of commandos being airdropped atop a hospital to free the Home Minister taken hostage by terrorists. Mohanlal plays a doctor in the hospital who fights the terrorists along with the commandos.

Others in the cast are National Award winner Priyamani, Laxmi Gopalaswamy, Prakashraj and Nasser. The film got completed at an estimated cost of Rs.20 million. Bhagavan presents five lyricists and five debutant music directors. Produced by Vijesh Mani under the banner of Anaswara Cinemas, Bhagavan is set to release on January 23, 2009.
