Mammootty and Dileep to act together

It's now hearing that Superstar Mammootty and Popular hero Dileep are going to act together for a new Malayalam movie to be directed by the hit maker Anwar Rasheed. Both these actors are joining together after a gap of about 8 years now. They were last seen in the movie Rakshasa Rajavu, which was an Onam release of 2001 and unfortunately the film was a total wash out at the box office.

This new untitled film from Anwar Rasheed will feature both the actors as brothers. Dileep will play the younger brother to Mammootty in this movie, whose scripts are nearing completion. After the Superhit Annan Thampi with Mammootty, director Anwar Rasheed was all set to do a Mohanlal starrer with a script from Sachi-Sethu (Chocolate fame). Since the script writers Sachi-Sethu are busy with their new film Robinhood with Prithviraj, Anwar went ahead with this new Mammootty and Dileep starrer.

This new film will be director Anwar Rasheed's 4th film in all and third one with Superstar Mammootty. His previous two Mammootty starrer's Rajamanikyam and Annan Thampi, were Superhits at the box office and the same result is being expected from this new untitled film from the duo.

Dileep's upcoming projects

One among the notable stars in Malayalam film industry, Dileep is currently busy with a hand full of new projects. Dileep is currently enjoying the success of his last film Passenger, that featured him as an advocate. Though he was not able to produce any solo Superhits for last couple of years, still he enjoys a safe spot in the field.

Right now, Dileep is shooting for the film Swantham Lekhakan (Swa Le) which will feature him as a journalist after the film Culcatta News. This film, which is the directorial debut for the ace cameraman P Sukumar will bring Gopika back into acting. The shooting for this film will get completed in a month.

After finishing this film, Dileep will go ahead to complete his long pending Body Gaurd. This film directed by hitmaker Siddique will feature South Indian super actress Nayan Thara as the heroine. After it, he will do an untitled film with veteran Kamal, that features Tamil actor Sathyaraj and Mamta in prominent roles.

Next movie to be joined by Dileep is the debut film of the director Mammas. This film which is titled as Pappy Appacha will have Innocent donning the father character of Dileep. It will be produced by Dileep's brother Anoop. After this, he will join the movie of another debutante Thomson, which is said to be a movie based on a comedy action storyline.

Priyamani as Dileep's heroine

Malayalam actor Dileep is currently enjoying the success of his latest film Passenger. The latest news to hear about Dileep is that he had agreed to do a film titled as Master under the direction of Sandhya Mohan and produced by Radha Krishnan Doha under Our Creations banner. One of the busiest actress in South, Priyamani will play the heroines role in this movie.

This is for the first time that Dileep and Priyamani wiill come together on screen. This new film, Master will hit the floors by the year end and will get ready to release by the first half of 2010. This new film has now already emerged as one of Dileep's much anticipated movie for the next year. More details about the movie are currently not available.

Dileep's new film with a debutant

Malayalam film actor Dileep will now act in a movie, which is tentatively titled as Papi Appacha. This new film will feature a debutant director Mamas Chandran and the shooting for this film will start shortly. This new film will be an out and out comedy caper, featuring Dileep and Innocent in the roles of a funny son and father respectively.

The makers of this new film are in search for a new heroine. The major highlight of the movie is that this new Dileep starrer will be produced by Dileep’s brother Anoop himself. He had earlier worked in association with the production houses like Grand Production and Manjunatha Films work, both owned by the actor Dileep.

'Passenger' from tommorow

New Malayalam film, Passenger is now all set to release from tommorow in and around 50 theatres. This new film will feature Dileep and Sreenivasan in the lead roles. Passenger was directed by debutant director Ranjit Shankar and the film will be distributed by Central Pictures in Kerala. Last day, this film was certified by the censor board with a clean 'U' certificate

This new Malayalam film will tell the story a stockbroker in Kochi played by Sreenivasan who regularly travels to work in a local passenger train. He fights a particular case out of his conviction. A mysterious lawyer played by Dileep takes up his case and it leads to a piquant but humorous situation.

Apart from Dileep and Sreenivasan, this new film also features Mamta Mohandas, Lakshmi Sharma, Madhu, Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy Sreekumar, Harisri Asokhan and others in the cast. This new film is considered to be a different type of rollicking comedy and is expected to click with the family audiences.

Dileep's vishu release

Malayalam star Dileep's this year's Vishu release Mozs and Cat is now fully completed and is all set to reach the theatres on the Vishu day, April 14th. This Dileep starrer is directed by veteran Fazil for Johnny Sagariga, producer of the film. Just like every other Fazil movies, this one too is considered to be a sentimental family entertainer with comedy and suspense.

Fazil, who is considered to be one of the class directors in Malayalam film industry is making a film after a gap of around 5 years. His previous film was Vismayathumbathu that featured Superstar Mohanlal in it. Fazil, who has a knack of spotting fresh new talent, is once again introducing a new heroine in this film, Aswathy Ashok.

This new film, which is a sentimental family entertainer tells the story of Dileep who plays Moss and his affection for cat played by nine year old Nivedita. There are about 4 songs in the film, which all are composed by Ouseppachan. According to the reports, there is a comedy song in the film featuring Jagathy, Harisri Asokan, Sudish Anoopchandran and Jaffar Idukki.

The post production work of the film is almost complete, and the film will release on April 14, in about 70 to 80 screens. Let's wait and see whether the film will click with the family audiences or not.

Trisha to debut in Malayalam opposite Dileep

Trisha, the beauty queen of South Indian Cinema, especially the Tollywood and Kollywood is now going to make her debut into the Malayalam film industry. Even though Trisha has not acted in a single Malayalam movie, she is a well known actress in Kerala with her very much popular Tamil as well as Telugu movies. Trisha will be seen in B Unnikrishnan's new movie that will feature Dileep in the lead.

B Unnikrishnan, who is now busy with his Suresh Gopi starrer IG, was supposed to do a Mammootty starrer right after that, but now as per the current details it is heard that his new Mammootty starrer gets shelved due to some unknown reason. So by finishing IG, B Unnikrishnan will immediately start working for his new untitled film with Dileep and Trisha in the lead.

This new Dileep starrer will be produced as well as distributed by Vaishaka release. This new untitled movie is all set start rolling by the last week of September. Mean while director B Unnikrishnan's new film IG will grace the theatres by this Vishu season and the film is said to be a typical action flick from the action king of Malayalam Cinema, Suresh Gopi.

Dileep's Vishu release is Moses D Samuel

One of the popular actor in Mollywood, Dileep is back in track with his film, Crazy Gopalan that released on Christmas season becoming a smashing hit. The actor was certainly looking for a success since he doesnot have a single success for last one and a half year. Though the last film that he produced Twenty 20 becomes a bumber hit, the credit for the success was shared by every actors in the industry since it was a multi starrer.

The very next film that will feature Dileep as the hero will be Moses D samuel not Body Gaurd. Earlier it was heard that Dileep - Nayan Thara starrer Siddique's Body Gaurd will be Dileep's grand Vishu release, but now it's hearing that the film may not be able to make it to the theatres, due to the unavailaility of heroine Nayan Thara. Nayan Thara is now currently busy with her Tamil as well as Telugu commitments.

Upto now it was heard that Dileep may not have a Vishu release for this year but the problem is now sotred out. Dileep is now all set to release his Fazil film Moses D Samuel for this Vishu season. Since the producer of both the films is the same Johny Sagariga, it may not be a problem to interchange the releasing dates of these two Dileep starrer films. Fazil's Moses D Samuel is a romantic comedy with heavy sentiments, which will feature debutant Aswathy Ashok as the heroine.

Moses D Samuel was slated to release on Dileep's lucky day July 4, but now the film will make into the theatres by April 14, as a grand Vishu release. So Dileep's Body Gaurd will now only be released on July 4th. Meanwhile Moses D Samuel which is already 50 percent shoot over, will restart in a few days time and the entire film will be over by March 23, making it possible for it to release on Vishu day.

Now, Dileep is all set to recapture his lost position of a mass star with the list of his upcoming films. Though his last release Colors was a total wash out from the theatres, Dileep is confident with his upcoming films.

The desi version of Spiderman will be directed by Rajbabu and the script will be handled by the hit duo Sibi K Thomas and Udhay Krissna.

According to some sources, Dileep will feature the title role Spiderman in this movie, which will have reseblance to the original Hollywood version in it's title only. Dileep to taste the success

Dileep, one among the popular stars in Malayalam film industry was struggling for sometimes due to lack of a memorable hit film in the past two years. After the Hit film Vinodayathra, which was scripted as well as directed by Sathyan Anthikad, Dileep wasn't able to manage a hit for himself. Though his recent film Twenty 20 became a Mega Blockbuster, the credit of the film was shared by all the stars in the industry, since it was a Multi starrer featuring all the leading artists in Mollywood.

After a long gap, Dileep can relax now because his latest release, Crazy Gopalan will be a hit. The initial collection reports of the film suggests that this Dileep starrer will emerge as the winner for Christmas season. Crazy Gopalan have collected more than 1.2 crores from its first four days, which is relatively high than the recent Dileep starrers. Deepu Karunakaran was the director of this Dileep starrer.

The only other Christmas release of this year, Lollipop starring almost all the youngsters have failed to match up with the expectations of the viewers. This fact also have helped Crazy Gopalan to achieve such a good opening. With some more days left in the Christmas holidays and also with a new year approaching, the movie is expected to do some descent business at the box office.

The other factor which is in favourable to the film is that the song starting like 'Gopala...' have clicked and as a result more and more children are coming to watch the movie. Dileep have a cartoon hero type image among the children with his films like CID Moosa and Ee Parakkum Thalika etc.

Also it is to be noted that there is not even a single major release for next two or three weeks until Superstar Mohanlal's Red Chillies reaches the theatres. This too will help the film to do the business. Anyway Dileep will be a happy man now.

New movie, Body Gaurd starring Dileep has started his shooting. The major locations of the movie are Kottayam, Munnar Vagamon, and Muvatupuzha. Apart from Dileep, this film also features Nayan Thara as the heroine of the movie and the famous Tamil actor - director - producer - stunt master Thyagarajan in the role of heroine's father.

Body Gaurd is a typical fun movie with lots of emotion and moves like a thriller. The film is being packaged as a mass family entertainer. This is director Siddique's very next movie in Malayalam after Mammootty starrer Chronic Bachelor in 2003. The team of Dileep and Siddique are going to work together for the first time. The script of the movie too is handled by siddique himself.

The major highlight of the movie is that yesteryear Mallu actress as well as Dileep's wife Manju Warrier is making a come back with this film. This film is being produced by Johny Sagariga. 'Body Gaurd' to start rolling

After creating the much successful Twenty 20, with all the leading stars from Malayalam film industry, Dileep is now fully back into his acting career. He was not able to do his committed projects by proper time since he was the producer of AMMA's magnum opus Twenty 20. When Twenty 20 got delayed, all his dates gets clashed.

We have been hearing about a dileep film which was announced by none other than hit maker Siddique for a long time. After much delay in pre- production stages, ace director Siddhique will start his first film with Dileep by the end of next week. The pooja and shoot of the movie titled Body Guard, will be held on the 12th of December at Kochi.

Siddique, who is considered as the most successful director in Mollywood is going to make a film in Malayalam after a span of 5 long years. His last film in Malayalam was Chronic Bachelor with Mammootty in 2005. Along with this movie, Siddique has also declared other two movies with Mammootty and Mohanlal respectively. They were to begin right after this movie but in the mean time things got changed. After completing Body Gaurd, Siddique will directly move on to do a Tamil movie, which will be the Tamil remake of this film. Vilay will play the lead in that. Also it will be Illayathalapathy's 50 film in career.

The director who has also written the scripts is yet to finalize on the heroine of the movie.
The movie which will be based on a plot with plenty of comedy and action will have music by Ouseppachan. Further details about the movie are yet to be revealed.

Unnoticed similarities in Dileep films

Dileep is definitely a salable star in Malayalam film industry. He was struggling in box office with poor performances of his last few films. But he got a little bit to enjoy when the film Twenty 20, which he produced as well as acted started well at the box office. After being with the production works of Twenty 20 for about an year, he is now back into acting in full swing.

The interesting thing that i am going to mention hear is about the relation b/w Dileep and the titles of his most of the recent films. May you don't have noticed that almost all of his recent films were having titles in English. Dileep seems to be achieving a record for acting in the maximum number of films with English titles.

Dileep, who started his career in the early 1990’s, had only a few movies with English titles till 2006, e.g. Three Men Army in 1995, Mr. Butler and Joker in 2000, Runway in 2004 and Lion, The Don and Chess in 2006. But from then on, Dileep is continuously signing films with English titles. In 2007, four of his ventures had English titles. Romeo, July 4, Speed Track and Inspector Garud.

The films that he have committed in this current year have not been an exception. Except Mulla, all of the others are having English titles. They were Crazy Gopalan (earlier it was Crazy Rascals), Moses B. Samuel, Body Guard, Colours, Passenger, Culcutta News, Guinness Gilbert, and Gays: The Story of Two Kundans. Above all of these, his latest release as a producer as well as actor, Twenty 20 is too an English title.

Interestingly, most of his films with English titles have done extremely well in the theatres, prompting the producers to follow the trend. This may compell producers to believe that putting an English name for a Dileep movie helps its collection in the box office. So until a major debacle occurs, this way of giving English titles to Dileep's movies will continue. Let this process continue with it's all glory.

SInce the film Twenty 20 lags for a good span of time, Dileep was forced to remain with the film. Now a highly relieved Dileep is back in business with a bang, that is with a hand full of offers.

Among the offers, Dileep have already completed debutant Deepu Karunakaran's Crazy Rascals, which will hit the theatres by this Christmas season. Now Dileep is currently associating with two projects at a time. First one is a movie with veteran Fazil, which is tentatively titled as Moses.D.Samuel, having a new heroine. The other project having Dileep in the lead role is Colours, directing by Raj Babu.

Raj Babu, is the director who have earlier created Chess with Dileep himself and Kankaroo with the young hero Prithviraj. Shooting for the film Colours is occuring at the picturesque locations of Coonur near Ooty. Besides Dileep, the film also features Roma, Vinoo Mohan and Bhama in the lead roles. Innocent, Harisri Asokan, Cochin Haneefa, Sadiq, Mamukoya, Kochu Preman are the main other casts in this film.

The film which is considered as an out and out comedy movie laced with sentiments will be produced by Aroma, one of the oldest production houses in Malayalam. The shooting of the film will be completed in a single schedule in Ootty and surrounding areas. The film is being planned for release on January 26.

Vinod Vijayan, director of action films Quotation and Red Salute, is currently busy working on a script for his third venture, a campus thriller loaded with action, humour and sentiments. Actor Dileep, who is currently looking to get back to the peak of his career with quite a good number of upcoming movies like Crazy Rascals, Samuel D. Moses, Bodyguard, Passenger, Guinness Gilbert, Colours and a movie of M.G. Sasi, is the hero in this yet-to-be-titled film. The heroine will probably be a debutante.

Songs are by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma and set to tune by Rahul Raj. Editing is by Vivek Harshan while choreography by Ramalekshmanan. Also in the cast are Biju Menon, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Bijukuttan, Undapakru, Vijayaraghavan, Bheeman Reghu, Suhasini and others.

Telugu cameraman Chotta K. Naidu is making his debut in Malayalam with this flick, produced by Naushad under the banner of MHM Creations. This film will be one of the first projects of Dileep in 2009. More details are awaited.

Fazil-Dileep team for the first time..........

Veteran director Fazil is going to team up with Dileep for the first time with the new project named as 'Moses.D.Samuel'. Veteran director Fazil, is considered as a trend setter in Mollywood and also he had been able to redo every equation that survived in the Mollywood commercial cinema.

Veteran director Fazil has been in this industry for last 27 years, and has introduced many talented actors to the feild including Mohanlal, Shankar and Poornima in his first film, then Shalini, Nadhiya Moythu and Kunchakko Boban, all of them went on to make it big in the industry. He is introducing a new girl for his new project too. Aswathy, a final year student of St.Therasa College, Ernakulam, she is the only daughter of Ashok Kumar, an NRI working with Dammam Alliance Company and Anitha.

Veteran director Fazil started his career with the film 'Manjil Virinja Pookal', which was a super hit of that time. In his career, he has a lot of surprise hits of which four were named in the state awards as the best film of the years with maximum audience appreciation. In the other hand, Dileep, who was a real crowd puller before last two years, is currently going through a rough period in his career. He will be considering this Fazil flick, as a ladder to climb back to his super star power, one that he lost before two years.

The new film by Raj Babu titled ‘Colours’ will feature Dileep and Vinoo in the lead roles. An Army based story, the movie will pair Roma with Vinoo for the first time.

After completing ‘Colours’ Vinoo will don the lead in the new movie by Kalavoor Ravikumar. This will be a humor based subject which will have Innocent in another prominent role.

Vinoo's new movie that is all set to grace the theatres next season is ''Sultan''. The movie directed by Sreeprakash have a youth oriented subject, with plenty of youngsters in the cast lines.

Dileep in M.G.Sasi's next?

There are reports doing the rounds that Dileep has been signed for the next film by director M.G. Sasi. The director may not be a very well known name in popular mainstream cinema.

Sasi, who had been an associate to renowned filmmakers like T.V. Chandran, Shyamaprasad etc, made his directorial debut with the recently-released Adayalangal, a film that bagged five state awards.

More details about the M.G. Sasi-Dileep venture are not available at the moment and the news itself is yet to be confirmed. It is also not known whether it will be a commercial venture or an offbeat one.

‘Crazy Rascals’ for 'Run Run Run'

It has been a gamble with the titles for the new film directed by Deepu Karunakaran , from its very start.The movie which was initially titled as ''Run Run Run'' has undertook a number of title changes, perhaps the most times for a film in the history of Mollywood.

This Dileep starrer which changed its title to ‘Run Gopala Run' during the beginning days of its shoot then was called ‘Run Gopala Run' for a short term. Again the makers went back to 'Run Gopala Run' for quite some time. Later the associated confusions in the crew, made some one suggest the title 'Dhoom Dhamaal Gopala’.

Finally, Dileep clarified yesterday that they are finalizing on a new title 'Crazy Rascals' for this film. Dileep also added that this title is not likely to change in future.

The trade in Mollywood is in all surprise about these title changes and opines that if a title fixing can create such a confusion , the what all confusions can the movie create among its viewers...........
