Megastar Mammootty has a real star power in Malayalam film industry. Though he is not a big star at Tamil film industry, he is definitely a salable star there too. He had some memorable films in Tamil like Dhalapathy with Superstar Rajnikant, Kandukondein Kandukondein with Ajith, Aiswarya Rai Bachchan etc. His film Dhalapathy gave him the salable label at the Tamil film industry, since the film was such a big hit.Mammootty's latest film too is a billuingal movie featuring Tamil star Arjun alongside him. It is titled as Aruvadai in Tamil and Vande Matharam in Malayalam. This film will get into the theatres in both the states by January 2009, as a Ponkal release.
The news here i am going to talk about is yet another one. Since Mammootty is salable in Tamil film industry, one among his hit films from Malayalam is going to be released in a dubbed Tamil version. The film is nothing else, but our own first stylish movie of Malayalam, Big B. In Tamil, the film will be titled as Manika Baasha. It is heard that the film's dubbing rights has gone for a good price.
The film is all about a tough guy taking revenge on his mother's brutal murder. The film was directed by Amal Neerad who is now currently working for Mohanlal starrer Saagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded. The major highlights of this dubbed movie will be that the film is having Pasupathy as a tough cop investigating the murder. Then there is Tamil actor Bala's sexy song with Mamta Mohandas on the beaches of Rameswaram.
