Vishnuvardhan replaced Dharani

Ajith, who is 'Thala' for his fans have been making news in regular basis about his 49th film. First it was heard that it will be directed by none other than Gautham Vasudev Menon, but later both Gautham and Ajith fighted each other for some unknown reason. Then the turn goes to Dharani, who was the director of hit films like Gilli, Kuruvi with 'Ilaya Thalapathi' Vijay. But the current news is that Ajith have approached Vishnuvardhan, director of Billa which featured Ajith in the lead, as the director for his 49th venture.

It is said that the Ajith's fans club have expressed their displeasure regarding Dharani's selection as the director because of his close links with Ajith's on screen rival Vijay's camp. Also Dharani had put forth some conditions that were not accepted by the ace producer.

The film will be produced by actor Prabhu, under the banner of Sivaji Productions. Vishnu who does not like to accept a film in hurry, has requested Ajith to wait for sometime. But Sivaji Productions cannot wait, as they want the film to start in December and release it in summer. So let's wait for what next to happen.

Ajith's 50th film by Venkat Prabhu.......

A new surprising news has hit the floors that Tamil star Ajith's 50th film is going to be directed by Venkat Prabhu, the latest sensation in the Tamil film industry. Ajith is currently in a cloud nine because his Deepavali release 'Aegan' is shaking the whole Tamil Nadu itself. Though there were some mixed reviews about the film, with the help of high initials the film is considered to be a sure bet for it's producers Ayngaran International.

Ajith, has created some exciting as well as surprising news even in the last week that he is going to act for next in a Gautham Menon film. Though it will be his 49th venture, there were talks going around his 50th film and who is going to direct as well as produce it. The producer for Ajith's prestigous film is not yet confirmed, but it is sure that the director will be the hit maker, Venkat Prabhu.

With Saroja still making high waves across far-flung corners of the globe, Venkat Prabhu is geared up shooting for 'Goa'. This film produced by Soundarya Rajnikanth under the banner of Ocher Studios is expected to be a comedy entertainer.

It is heard that before 4-5days Venkat Prabhu and Ashok Amritraj had been involved in deep discussions. Probably, it will be Ashok Amritraj who is going to produce this special endeavor of Ajith Kumar… Amritraj was earlier involved in the production of Shankar's Jeans starring Prashanth and Aishwarya.

At the moment, both Ajith and Venkat Prabhu have turned to be busy bees working on their respective flicks. I am wishing all the best for the actor as well as for the director for their upcoming ventures........

Two SRK films in Kollywood for this Deepavali...

This Deepavali in Tamil Industry, is going to be a great memorable one for the 'Baadshah of Bollywood', Shah Rukh Khan because two of his famous films are remade to release for this season of Deepavali festival. Both these films are carrying a good pre-view reports among the audience.

First, it's the Ajith starrer 'Aegan' which is the remake of his 2004 blockbuster 'Main Hoon Na'. In that film SRK played the role of a military officer, who went on to study in a college with a secret mission. That role will be done in Tamil by Ajith. The other important casts in the film are Nayan Thara for Sushmita Sen, as a lecturer in that college, Jayaram for Boman Irani, as the principal of that college, Nasser for Sunil Shetty, as the main villian, and also Suhassini ManiRatnam for Kirron Kher, as Ajith's second mother. As the original one, this film too is expected to become a chartbuster. 'Aegan' is directed by Raju Sundaram, and it has musical score by Yuvanshankar Raja.

Second film that has been remaded is SRK's an earlier hit called 'Yes Boss'. The remake of this film is titled as ‘Guru En Aalu’ having Madhavan and Mamta Mohandas in the lead, where as SRK and Juhi Chawla were the leads in the original one. This movie is directed by Selvah and produced by KRG.

Other films that are to be in the race along side 'Aegan' and 'Guru En Aalu' are Goutham menon's ‘Varanam Aayiram’. Starring Surya in a dual role, and director Hari's ‘Seval’ featuring Bharath in the lead. ‘Varanam Aayiram’ is having music by Harris Jeyaraj, and 'Seval' is having music by G V Prakash.

Let us wait and see, which film is going to win the battle at this Deepavali season, since the Deepavali is only one week away........

Ocher Studios are making it big........

Ocher Studios, a production company, owned by Tamil Superstar Rajni kant's daughter Soundarya is making big news each and every day. This production company in association with Adlab's is making the big budget animated mega movie of Tamil Superstar Rajni kant 'Sultan-The warrior'. Ocher Studios make it large in the industry by this single announcement itself.

Now Ocher Studios are in a mission of making films in all other main languages in South India as well as in Bollywood too. The main news which is in relation with Ocher Studios is that they have roped in the one and only Big B of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan himself into their contract for doing a film.

Big B of Bollywood has a big admiration always for our Super Star Rajinikanth. He once called Rajinikanth as the emperor of Indian Cinema and he heaped his praise for the simplicity and humility of the actor. Rajinikanth and Amitabh share a special friendship since the days they acted together in some Hindi Movies.

The other attraction in this news is that the action master, Gautham Vasudev Menon, is going to direct Big B. The news is that Big B will play an important role in that movie, though he is not only the hero of the movie but also it is not a Hindi film. Others who have been signed in with Ocher Studios are Lingusamy from Kollywood, Mohanlal, Shaji Kailash, Jayaraj from Malluwood, Mahesh Babu and Puri Jagannath from Tollywood.

After 'Sultan-The warrior', they will go on to produce 'Billa 2' with Ajith and Venket Prabhu's next film 'Goa'. Let's wait, for much more striking news from Ocher Studios.....

Ajith and Vijay in race..............

The younger superstars of tamil cinema, Vijay and Ajith, both are approaching their 50th film fastly.

Currently, both of them are working in their 48th film. Ajith is working with choreographer turned director Raju sundaram( brother of popular actor-choreographer-director Prabhu Deva) for the film 'Aegan' which is a remake of the 2004 hindi blockbuster 'Main Hoon Na' starring Shah Rukh Khan. This film will reach the theatres for this deepavali, where as Illaya Thalapathi Vijay is currently working in the film 'Villu' which is considered to be a remake of another hindi film 'Soldier'. Interestingly, this film starring VIjay is directed by the 'Pokkiri' fame Prabhu Deva himself. So the current films of these younger superstars are by two real brothers.

After completing 'Aegan', Ajith will join hands with the star director Gautham Menon for a film titled as 'Surangani', which will feature Ajith as a deadly gangster. It will be produced by actor 'Prabhu' under the banner of 'Sivaji Productions'. Further details of this film are awaited. Where as Vijay after completing 'Villu', will go on with the project titled as 'Vettaikaran' which is heard to be produced by the AVM itself.

Vijay's 50th film will be produced by his father S A Chandrasekharan himself. Nothing yet is confirmed, whereas Ajith's case is not even heard.

The fact that two popular heroes of Tamil cinema nearing their 50th film is a moment to cherish for their fans.

Ajith is Thalaivan now

Director Madhesh who churned out the Vijay flick 'Madura' is all set to team up with Ajith for a film titled 'Thalaivan'. Though 'Madura' went on to be a commercial success, Vijay fans felt there was something missing. This reportedly has wedged a wall of professional silence between Vijay and the director.

Madhesh however went on to direct Vijayakanth in the film 'Arasangam' which was well received by the public. Buzz is that Madhesh wanted to team up with Vijay once again but then has met with stony silence from the other end. This probably made the director approach Ajith. The actor fondly called 'Thala' by his fans is reportedly happy with the story and has given a go-ahead to Madhesh.

In all probability, once 'Aegan' is released, work on 'Thalaivan might start. Reports also suggest that Madhesh is currently abroad scouting for locations to film the song sequences.

When every actor tastes success, they are referred to as Thalaivan in publicity materials and by fans. Interestingly, the name 'Thalaivan' may be used as the title of a film for the first time. Something Ajith fans would simply love.

Ajit & Gautham come together in 'Surangani'

It is the most exciting project on the floor. Ajit, the most handsome and dashing hero of Tamil cinema is going to be directed with the director's director Gautham Vasudeva Menon in a film to be produced by Sivaji Productions Ram Kumar.

Gautham has given it a catchy title Surangani. Sivaji Productions is now negotiating with the producer who has registered this title for another film. The shoot of this film will start on November 1 in Chennai.

Surangani is going to be Ajit's next film after Aegan. According to sources close to the unit, Ajit has been bowled over by Gautham's script. Ajit it seems is going to play a deadly gangster in the film. It is about man who rises from humble beginnings, to become the biggest don in the world, while Sameera Reddy will play the role of the gangster's moll.

The film will have music by Harris Jayaraj, and camera is by Ajit's favourite Nirav Shah the man who gave that slick look to Billa. The film will be shot at one go, and will be ready for an April 14, 2009 release.

It's SURYA v/s AJITH for this Deepavali.............

Quaintly titled movie 'Varanam Aayiram' starring Suriya, Sameera Reddy and Divya Spandana is tentatively said to be released on October 28th to enthrall the eager fans. The movie directed by Gautam Menon is being anticipated of a well acquainted fact.

Suriya – Gautam Menon – Harris Jeyaraj, the same men behind the box office blockbuster 'Khaaka Khaaka' which portrayed an entirely different catch at the usual cop stories. . Years rolled by for this successful trio to come back together and they are sure to strike with their slick skill.

The exhibitionism of sizzling Sameera Reddy and six pack Suriya has bolstered the already high anticipation for this flick.

Ajith's much awaited 'Aegan' is also set to be tentatively released in the month of October on 24th. The latter is not even a tad less in being anticipated compared to Suriya's next. The yesteryear remake of the Rajinikanth starrer 'Billa' was remade with Ajith and Nayantara donning the lead roles.

Named the most sophisticated movie in Tamil cinema, 'Billa' got rave reviews for its slick coup. This movie with its stunning style and splendor and a marvelous opera composed by Yuvan would give any Hollywood flick a tough time. Ajith – Nayantara – Yuvan Shankar Raja, the people behind 'Billa' is expected to conjure the magic once again in 'Aegan'.

Renowned Choreographer Raju Sundaram makes his directorial debut through this film. After the terrific success of 'Billa', Nayanthara once again shares screen space with Ajith.

'Arinthum Ariyamalum' fame Navdeep is in to enact a key role, while Suhasini Maniratnam, Nasser, Jayaram, Sree Man, Suman also play prominent roles in this flick.

Inspired by the Bollywood hit 'Main Hoon Na', Aegan was shot in Hyderabad, Yercaud and in many exquisite locales of Hong Kong and Bangkok. Music for Aegan is set to tunes by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the audio launch is expected to be in early October.

Samira Reddy opposite Ajith.........

Samira Reddy makes her debut in Kollywood through the film 'Vaaranam Ayiram', directed by Gautham Menon starring Surya. This is the first time that Gautham and Ajit are coming together and Gautham's chief marksman Harris Jayaraj is teaming up for Music to stun in this film too, as the duo has never parted or fallen short of expectations.

The movie would go to the floors on second of November soon after Ajith's 'Aegan' gets released on October 28.
