Mahesh Babu to do a film with Gautham Menon

Prince of Telugu film industry, Mahesh Babu is currently working for his latest project with the genius director, Trivikram Srinivas. This new project is titled as Varudu and it will feature the most happening girl in Tollywood, Anushka as the heroine. The most notable news regarding Mahesh Babu is that he is now all set to start shooting for his next venture.

It should be noted that Mahesh Babu's new film Varudu is now in progress after a delay of about one year and the shooting is progressing in a brisk pace. According to some close sources, Mahesh Babu will start shooting for his new film from 20th of this month. This new untitled movie of Mahesh Babu will be directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.

The other notable thing with this new untitled movie is that it will feature music being composed by none other than the great A R Rahman. More news about this film is being awaited and it should be noted that Mahesh Babu is trying to get two back to back releases after that long break that he has taken.

Priyamani to act with Mahesh Babu

Prince of Telugu film industry, Mahesh Babu is back after a long gap of about two years, since his last film was Athidi in 2007. Mahesh Babu's next movie will be Varudu with hit director Trivikram. The movie which is expected to be a mega budget entertainer, will present Mahesh Babu as a taxi driver. The film is being produced by Singanamala Ramesh under the banner of Kanaka Ratna Movies.

Latest sensation of both Kollywood as well as Tollywood, Anushka is going to play the lady lead in the film. Earlier it was heard that Parvathi Melton will enact the role, but after the stupendous performance of Arundhati, the makers went with casting Anushka. Latest to hear about the film is that hot actress of south, Priyamani has been roped in to play the role of second heroine in the film.

As per some unconfirmed reports, for the promotion of the new film, recently a photo session was held for Mahesh Babu and Priyamani which according to the source came out really well. If the news is to be believed then it will be nice to see the on screen battle between the two most happening girls in Tollywood.

The movie which is expected to be a mega budget entertainer, will present Mahesh Babu as a taxi driver. The film is being produced by Singanamala Ramesh under the banner of Kanaka Ratna Movies.

The major news in relation with this highly anticipated film is that the actual heroine meant for this project Parvathi Melton has now been sacked for some unknown reasons. According to the inmates of the film, Parvathi have left for her hometown in USA to attend her mother who was injured in an accident.

Now it's hearing that new sensation of the Tollywood, Anushka is going to do the lead role in this film on for Parvathi Melton. She is now considered to be a hot property in Tollywood with her latest release Arundhati doing tremendous job at the box office. She is now currently working in Prabhas’s Billa and two Tamil films.

The film is currently titled as Varudu, but it is heard that the title might be changed in the future. Producer Singanamala Ramesh is making the movie on Kanaka Ratna Movies banner.

Now the striking news about Mahesh Babu is that his one of the biggest career hit film Pokkiri is now going to be remade for the fourth time. Original Pokkiri that featured Mahesh Babu and Illeana was a smashing hit in Tollywood. Then it was later remade to Kollywood with Illaya thalapathy Vijay and Asin donning the lead roles. The result was an even bigger hit that created a path for it's inmates to remake it into Bollywood.

The Bollywood version of the Pokkiri, which is titled as Wanted Dead or Alive will feature Salman Khan and Ayesha Talkia in the lead roles and was directed by Prabhu Deva, the director of Tamil version too. Now the fourth edition of Pokkiri is going to be made in Kannada, with Kannada's rising star Darshan in the lead role. The film is now standing second to Amitabh Bachchan starrer Don, for the most number of remakes. Don was remade 5 times and Pokkiri is currently standing at 4.

With the film Pokkiri, that is creating waves all around the Indian film industry, Tollywood has all the rights to be proud because it all is due to one man - Puri Jaganath. He was the director of the original movie. Let's wish just like in Kollywood and Tollywood, the saga of the film Pokkiri can hold on in Bollywood and Kannada film industry.

Mahesh Babu, who doesnot have even a single release in 2008 is now eagerly waiting for this project to start, so that he can hold on to the top spot among the Telugu stars. The film Varudu was actually meant to start it's shooting several months back, but it didn’t start as planned. Now the film will start from this month onwards, ie by 21st of January 2009.

The film will be a mega budget entertainer, and will present Mahesh Babu as a taxi driver in it. The cast also features Prakash Raj and Suneel in it. According to the current fixture, the film will be canned in the deserts of Rajastan for a period of 60 days. The crew will camp in the location at Hyderabad till the end of January and will move on to Rajasthan from the 1st week of February.

One of the major highlight of the movie will be the colorful songs which will be choreographed by Saroj Khan and Vaibhav Marchant from Bollywood and the theme song will be choreographed by actor Raju Sundaram. Music of the film will be handled by Mani Sharma.

Gilli to follow Ghajani

Tamil Superhit Ghajani starring Surya and Asin is now all set to release in Bollywood with a remade version starring Aamir and Asin. With the film hitting the theatres on the same day of Christmas everyone in the industry are expecting a great smash by the film. After Ghajani it's now the turn for Gilli to be remade. Yet another Tamil Superhit which featured Vijay and Trisha in it was actually a Telugu film featuring Mahesh Babu and Trisha in the lead.

Announcement have been now officially made. Harman Beweja who debuted in the Hindi film Love Story 2050 replaces Vijay in the remake and Deepika Padukone comes in for Trisha. It will be Arjun Rampal on for the powerful role acted by the veteran Prakash Raj. K. S. Adhiyaman is expected to direct the film.

Harman is now currently acting in two films, one with Ashutosh Gowariker's What's your Rashi? which is a romantic comedy and It's My Life. Accidentally It's My Life is also a remake from yet another Tamil hit Santosh Subramaniam with Jayam Ravi and Telugu hit Bommarillu with Siddharth.

Tamanna opts out..........

Tamanna has declined an offer to act opposite Mahesh Babu in a Telugu film to be directed by Trivikram, one of the happening directors of Andhra Pradesh.

According to sources, the trouble is that she was promised the heroine's role, but it now looks like Parvathi Melton, the other heroine has more scenes and songs with Mahesh. Following this, Tamanna has reportedly decided to opt out.

The petite actress is currently playing the female lead role in three Tamil films- Ayan opposite Surya, Padikadhavan opposite Dhanush and Ananda Thandavam, which has the story of Sujatha and directed by Chellamay fame Gandhi Krishna.

Mahesh – Trivikram's 'Varudu' begins in Rajasthan

The most anticipated movie for the year 2009, 'Varudu' begins in Rajasthan before the end of this September.

The movie stars the Tollywood prince Mahesh Babu in the lead pitted against the dual heroines Parvathi Meltor and Tamanna of 'Happy Days'. Trivkiram Srinivas directs this pricey movie which is undertaken by the producer Singanamala Ramesh. The movie made under Kanaka Rathna Movies banner is expected to stir the box office next year.

Sources stated that the pooja for this film has been performed this year in the month of May but the regular shooting was postponed several times.

The release of 'Athidi' happened almost an year ago and fans of Mahesh are expecting 'Varudu' to boost their spirits.

Latest buzz is that the shooting for this movie will begin from the end of this month in Rajasthan. The music for this movie is composed by Mani Sharma who has already completed composing two of the songs that features in this movie.

Tamanna is Mahesh’s heroine????.....

Tamannaah seems to be the hot ‘n’ happening girl down south. In Tamil, she is the fastest rising heroine and is doing three films simultaneously.

And now she has signed the prestigious film produced by Moserbaer which will be the remake of the Hindi blockbuster Jab We Met.

And the latest rumour doing the rounds is that, Tammu as she is fondly called by her friends is the front runner to do the Trivikram project with Mahesh Babu as hero. When contacted the pretty actress told “Yes they have contacted me and I am hearing the script this week, after which I will have to work out my dates. It’s too early for me to talk about it and will let you know at the appropriate time”.

This untitled film has Parvathi Melton as the second heroine and is one of the hottest projects in telugu which will start rolling soon. Sources close to the unit say that the film will be canned in Rajasthan, Polachi including a long foreign outdoor shoot.

Mahesh babu teams up with Gautham menon.........

Gautham Menon and Mahesh Babu is coming together for a new venture which is yet to be titled. Director of the films like 'Kaakha Kaakha' starring Surya in Tamil, a remake with Vekatesh 'Garshana' in Telugu and Kamal Haasan's 'Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu', is directing this new flick.

This movie is jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Manjula, Mahesh's sibling. The film stars Mahesh Babu of 'Okkadu', 'Athidi' in the lead and the heroine is yet to be finalized.

Before this proposal, Gautham Menon was planning to direct a movie that delves into feminine passions starring Trisha in the lead. The diva was in a tight schedule unable to provide dates which made the director to commence Mahesh's project firstly.

Reliable sources says that Mahesh's new flick with Gautham will be commencing this December. The meticulous hero is going to lend utmost effort to work in this project along with Trivikram's 'Varudu' simultaneously.
