The most sensational news to hear from the Hindi film industry is that the gap between the Shehanshah and the Baadshah of Bollywood is getting shorter these days. Recently, Shehanshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan himself have mentioned a funny thing that happened between him and the Baadshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan.

Now, SRK during a chat show with Karan Johar have expressed his desire to be friends with the Abhishek Bachchan. As of now, it's hearing that Junior Bachchan have reacted to this positively. The major reason to believe this fact is that wife of Abhishek, Aiswarya Rai Bachchan is said to do a notable cameo role in SRK's upcoming high budget sci-fi film, Ra-One.

Both SRK and Aiswarya have acted together previously, and they were seen together in the 2002 blockbuster Devdas for the last time. After that film, they have started Chalte Chalte, but due to the issue between Aiswarya and Salman Khan, Aiswarya was dropped from the project and the relationship between SRK and Aiswarya gets broken.

Now, the things are seen to be getting ready with both the mighty stars of Hindi film industry taking measures from their side to solve the problem between them..

'Enthiran - The Robot' out of trouble

Enthiran - The Robot, is the new movie featuring Superstar Rajnikant. Enthiran is considered as India’s biggest project in terms of grandeur, splendor and Star Cast. Aiswarya Rai Bachchan is the heroine of this movie. Rajinikanth’s this live action movie will be directed by Shanker and the music of the movie will be composed by A R Rahman.

Latest news related with Enthiran is that the actual producers of the movie London based Ayngaran International, in which Kishore Lulla-owned Eros International had a controlling stake will transfer all the production costs of the movie to Sun Pictures. This film was initially fixed at a huge budget of 120 crores but with the economic down fall, the producers have asked Shanker to bring down the production cost. Shanker was not ready for this, so Ayngaran International decided to drop the project.

This project was actually made for Shah Rukh Khan by the director Shanker and was to be produced by SRK's banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. Then it was dropped owing to creative differences between director Shankar and Shahrukh. Now the rights of this movie is with the Sun Pictures which have earlier acquired distribution rights of the movies like Kadhalil Vizhunden, Theenavettu and Dindigul Sarathy.

This high budget movie by Shanker starring Rajnikant and Aiswarya Rai Bachchan will be released in five different languages, including Tamil, Hindi and Telugu, besides a couple of other regional languages. The movie is slated for a release by the end of next year.

Some Tension b/w Ash and Abhi

Abhishek Bachchan is currently working for the film titled as Dilli 6. According to sources Aiswarya Rai visited the sets of Dilli 6 where Abhishek Bachchan was shooting a stunt scene. It was visible that it wasn't a pleasant surprise for Abhi. It seems that in spite of being married for over a year and a half there is still some tension between the couple.

The scene that was being shot was a stunt scene though not a major stunt scene but still it was a crucial one. Everyone assumed that after shooting constantly for so many stunt scenes for Drona, Abhishek must have got comfortable with them but the moment Ash entered the sets, he was visibly disturbed.

In Dilli 6, Abhishek is opposite Sonam Kapoor and Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni, Divya Dutta, Rishi Kapoor and Tanvi Azmi are the other co-stars. The movie has been in the making since December last year and is thought to be based on the life of the director Rakesh Omprakash Mehra and how he spend his years growing up in the old Delhi neighbourhood of Chandini Chowk. The name of the film is actually the pin code of the place and it is due for release on February 13, 2009.

Priyamani as 'Surpanagai'..........

Mani Ratnam's ambitious bilingual project having Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Southern super star Vikram in the lead roles is fastly progressing it's shooting. Titled as 'Ravana' in Bollywood will have Abhishek and Aiswarya playing the lead roles, and Vikram will play the role of villian in it. Where as in Tamil, the title of the film is not yet confirmed, and the film will have Vikram and Aiswarya playing the lead roles, and in Tamil, notable actor from Mollywood Prithviraj, will play the role of villian.

This new film from Mani Ratnam, is being made in an inspiration from the epic, Ramayana. In the hindi version, Abhishek plays Rama, and Aiswarya plays the role of Seetha, whereas Vikram plays Ravana in it. In Tamil, Vikram plays Rama, and the role of Ravana will be played by Prithviraj. In hindi, Priyamani plays the role of Surpanagai, younger sister of Ravana.

The National award winning heroine was expected to be tapping foot with Vijay, Suriya or Vikram after 'Paruthi Veeran'. But what made the actress accept this offer to play the sister is one name – Mani Rathnam. It is heard that she doesn't play the usual teary sister who seeks solace from her brother, though she is the sister of Ravana.

It was how Karnan's life was envisaged into 'Dhalapathi' with the Superstar Rajni kant, Ramayana had become this new movie. Since the maker of the film is the great Mani Ratnam himself, it's not a literal remake of the epic and Mani Rathnam might sculpt the National award winning actress Priyamani to deliver apt performance.

Man vs Machine – The 'Endhiram' saga......

'Sujatha' Rangarajan, a magnificent writer in the Tamil language showed his fascination for modernity with many of his works. The element of human life that is changing ever so rapidly thanks to technological advancements has been a subject of intense fascination for him.

The late writer had written a script with the core of having an antagonist in the form of a Robot. He had even thought of having Kamal Haasan play the role. But then the script has been lying around for a long time with no takers as the film would involve a whopping amount if it has to see the light of day with the right effect.

Along came a film director Shankar who had always made it a point to insist on Sujatha's talent in his films. After the huge success of 'Sivaji', Shankar was looked upon as a man who could churn out lavish films nationally. Sujatha Rangarajan's 'Robot' became a viable option when Sharukh Khan made public his desire to work with Shankar. The name 'Robot' was copyrighted by Shahrukh's production house Red Chilles. But then things fell apart as Shahrukh was not convinced totally with the project.

Rajinikanth-Shankar combo had worded wonders at the box office and people were thirsting to see the two come together for another project and so the superstar was roped in for 'Robot'. Then came Aishwarya Rai into the picture. Shooting has begun for this film that went through a name change to 'Endhiram'.

The ‘supposed’ story of ‘Endhiram’ has already surfaced and the following is probably what the film is all about.

The film is about a scientist, played by Rajini who lives about 200 years in the future. He is passionate about making robots that have the ability to rationalize things. Designed to help humanity the robots are themselves like humans with many emotions. One such robot (played by Rajini again) is tampered upon by people of evil intent. And so this robot lives a life of its own putting humanity at risk.

To boot to the mayhem this robot even falls in love with the scientist's girlfriend (played by Aishwarya Rai).

The film is expected to be released in the summer of 2010. The story does sound interesting, but then we'll have to wait and see if the balance between modernity and traditional human emotions exists.

Technical details are being worked out right now. Since the story was written by Sujatha a long time ago, the filmmakers have decided to add in the necessary updates. A team of about 250 people have been assigned the responsibility of researching these updates.

'We just would have needed one person in Sujatha to work on these updates. Since he is no more, we need 250 people to fill in for him', rues director Shankar.
