Much awaited flick by Suriya 'Varanam Ayiram' will not get into theatres for this deepavali. As per the latest reports, this action packed flick having Suriya in different get ups will grace the theatres only by the first week of November.

The film that has been completed with a whooping budget of 14 crores, have Suriya playing dual role in it. The name of his characters are Krishna and Suriya. In this film Suriya, plays a role that varies it's life span from the age of 19 to 70. For the role of a teenager, Suriya even make his body fit by exercising over 6 months, as a result he got a beutiful six pack abs. There are 3 heroines in this film. Simran, Sameera Reddy, Divya Spandana are those three. Gautham Menon, who is considered as a typical action flim specialist, is the director of this film. ‘Varanam Aayiram’ literally means the strength of thousand elephants. Gautham Menon says that the title suits the movie very well that's why he had chosen it.

The movie had drawn inspirations from the Hollywood movie ‘Forrest Gump’ starring Tom Hanks. With the Suriya-Gautham duo coming back after the blockbuster Kaakha Kaakha(2003), and with Harris Jayaraj’s music, Suriya appearing in different get ups with three glamorous ladies, the expectation about this film is very high.
