'Kurukshetra' to rule the Box Office.........

Mohanlal's Kurukshetra has taken a historical first day opening all across Kerala. The film has been released around a record centers of 114 centers, and all these centers are withnessing packed houses in all it's shows. No other film in the history of Malayalam films has taken such a huge opening. The film has fetched an opening record collection of 90 lakhs on the very first day itself, breaking the record of Mammootty's Vishu release Annan Thampi, directed by Anwar Rasheed. The Mohanlal fans are enjoying the movie and have given it thumbs up.

Produced by Santhosh Damodaran under the Damor Films banner, Kurukshetra has Mohanlal as Colonel Mahadevan, who is determined to reclaim the land grabbed by Pakistani soldiers in the Kargil valley. Siddique, Biju Menon, Cochin Haneefa and Sooraj Venjaranmoodu are also in the star cast.

Major Ravi, the director of the film is more than thrilled to witness the success of his new war based flick 'Kurukshetra', and it is the second biggest hit in his filmi career, after 'Keerthichakra', Major's debut film.

At Ernakulam Shenoys, the film has grossed Rs 2,15, 536 on the releasing day. At Kozhikode Apsara and Coronation it has grossed a whopping Rs 2, 43, 384 on day one. In Thiruvananthapuram Sreekumar, Sreevisakh and Parthas together on the release day it has grossed an amazing Rs 2, 91, 448!. It looks like 'Kurukshetra' may turn out to be a blockbuster. The trade is anticipating a record share of around Rs 3 crore from 114 screens in its first week!.

Let's congratulate the people who have worked behind this excellent war saga. I am wishing this film to become a huge huge hit in the history of malayalam cinema. Once again hat's off for the director and the crew for such a wonderful cinema.
