Mohanlal making it big

Superstar Mohanlal is currently reigning high with his latest two films, both Madambi and Kurukshetra being declared as Block Busters in the box office. Yet another thing which makes him much happier is that, his latest offering AMMA'a Twenty 20 is considered to become the biggest hit in the history of Malayalam Cinema. Twenty 20 is having a very good word of mouth.

Mohanlal will have another release this month in the movie Pakal Nakshatrangal. Slated for a release on the 29th of November, the movie is directed by industry veteran Rajeevnath. Script work of the movie is handled by young actor Anoop Menon. Mohanlal plays Siddharthan an established director while Suresh Gopi is also in the cast as his friend, playing as a scientist.

Mohanlal who has just completed a European tour will now start his new film Sagar Elias Jackie Reloaded with young director Amal Neerad, but before that he had to complete the work on his Christmas offering Red Chillies with Shaji Kailas.

With the stupendous success of his recent films, more directors have come up with stories for this hugely talented actor. Interesting thing about it is that most of them are younger directors. Bibin Prabhakar (director of Kaaki and One Way Ticket) have announced a new project with lal, but further details about that film is not available.

Also M.Mohanan (Katha Parayumbol fame) have made one. The movie titled as Kudumba Chithram will be also scripted by the director. The movie to be produced by Maha Subair in the banner of Varnachithra will start its shoot only by the second quarter of next year.

This new lal project will be a testing one for it's director M.Mohanan, though his previous film was a huge hit everyone thinks that a well handled script by none other than Sreenivasan had made his job much easier. In order to change that image he have to register a hit by directing a movie with a script of himself.
