Ghajani is a powerful film, having a riveting story, which has been told with flourish by director A.R. Murugadoss. This revenge saga will simply sweep you off your feet from the starting itself. As usual it has a knockout performance by Aamir Khan prooving everyone that he is the best among the stars available today.
Ghajani belongs to the same old good versus evil fares, but it differs in the way of narration. The story has been told differently and most importantly, the story offers so many twists-n-turns that you just can't guess what would unfold next. The basic theme of the film is that Aamir Khan is suffering from acute short-term memory loss set off by the violent murder of his girlfriend Asin, and he is out there to find the culprit to take the revenge.
The story of the film is really superb and it is the major highlight of the movie too. Aamir's portrayal of a man suffering from short-term memory loss is awesome and really thrilling. This will be one of his career-best performance. Asin too was awesome, making her debut a much memorable one among the audience. Also others in the cast like Jiah Khan, as a medical student and Pradeep Rawat, the villain were good and played their part very well.
A R Murugadoss, the director of the movie really deserves a standing upload for his work. He made Ghajani a memorable, never-seen-before experience. He balances the light moments and the ones demanding intensity with expertise. The other guy to be noted is none other than A R Rahman himself. As usual his works for the movie was really mind blowing. Also Ravi Chandran's cinematography is stunning.
Let me tell you one thing that Ghajani is not at all Momento. There is only small similarities in both these, though the basic theme is the same. According to me, Ghajani is breathless, exciting story, heart breaking and exhilarating at the same time. I prefer everyone to watch this movie, atleast for once, because you won't see such films for more than once in a decade. Also the portions towards the climax have changed making it interesting for the south audience also.
All in all, Ghajani is commercial Hindi cinema at its best. The film will be surely a blockbuster, breaking almost all the records created by other films so far.
