Suresh Gopi is one of the most talented as well as wanted actor in Malayalam film industry. He was tauted as the third Superstar of Mollywood, but now the position is under threat since his recently released movies have failed at the box office miserably. Suresh Gopi's latest release Hailesa, a comedy film too have failed to come up with good review or collections. The film is already declared as a major flop for the actor.Suresh Gopi, who is well known for his powerful role as a duty minded police officer, who faught against all the baddies is coming back with such a role in his new film. The film which is titled as IG will present Suresh Gopi for the first time as the Inspector General of Police. This new film IG is considered to be a stylish action thriller with some mind blowing action scenes as well as some bombastic dialogues, that are the repeated formulas in a Suresh Gopi starrer. Other notable feature of the film is that veteran actress Lakshmi is coming back into Malayalam through this film as the mother of Suresh Gopi.
After the Superhit Maadambi with Mohanlal, director B Unnikrishnan is the man behind this film. He has penned the script of the movie and he is directing the movie also. Mahi is producing the film and cinematography of the movie is done by Shyam Dutt. Music department of the movie is handled by the team M Jayachandran and Gireesh Puthencherry. Along with Suresh Gopi and Lakshmi, others in the cast line are Aashish Vidyarthy, Vijayaraghavan, Jyothirmayi, Anetha, Rajan P Dev, Govind Padmasuriya, Anil and Devan.
