Mammootty in Renjith's new movie

Superstar of Malayalam, Mammootty is going to act once again in script writer turned director Renjith's new movie. Previously, they have worked together for the movies like Black, Kaiyoppu, Prajapathy and Nasrani, out of which Nasrani was not directed by Renjith but by veteran Joshiy.

Renjith is coming back after the much acclaimed hit Thirakkatha, that featured Prithviraj and Priyamani in the lead roles. Thirakkatha was considered to be a trend setter which was refreshingly different featuring the inside stories in film industry.

Now Renjith is all set to direct his new movie, titled as Palery Manikyam, which is an investigative thriller based on a murder mystery that was in the news around five decades ago. The film which is a period one will feature Superstar Mammootty as the crime investigator who arrives from Delhi to Palery to find links to the murder of Manikyam.

Renjith is all set to make his new movie a different one, which will be based on a famous novel by T P Rajeevan titled as Palery Maanikyam - Oru Paathiraa kolapathakathinte Katha which was published in Mathrubhumi weekly years ago.
