Ghajani breaking records

Bollywood's much awaited film of 2008, Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan starrer Ghajani have released worldwide to a bumber opening. The film which featured South indian beuty Asin as the heroine was directed by A R Murugadoss. The expectation on the film was very high thanks to the huge publicity campaign conducted by the distributors of the film and at last the film have raised upto the expectations of the audience.

As per initial collection reports, Ghajani have collected a huge whooping sum of around 90 crores (from theatres only) from it's worldwide release among which 63 crores (net collection from India alone is around 90 crores) is from the domestic market itself. This have created a new collection record in India, with the most collected film in it's first week overtaking previous bests like Akshay Kumar starrer Singh is Kinng (44 crores), Shah Rukh starrer Om Shanti Om (40 crores) and Hrithik starrer Dhoom 2 (35 crores).

The film is continuing it's awesome run worldwide, breaking more and more records. This film is expected to be the first film in India to collect 100 crores from domestic market itself, previous best is SRK's Om Shanti Om with 85 crores. Meanwhile, the film have become the biggest domestic hit ever beating SRK' s Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge in the short run of just two weeks. Also it's the first film from India to collect 200 crore mark worldwide.

At the end of second week, Ghajani is still standing tall with thunderous collections from everywhere it get released. New collection reports of the film after a splendid run of two weeks is out stating that The film has grossed Rs 162 crores (overall collection) in domestic markets and Rs 39 crores have come from overseas markets. The film which released in India with a record number of prints (1200 prints) is now all set to break the record of most collected Indian film in overseas where the current record stands with Karan Johar's SRK starrer Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham (44 crores).

First of all, let's congratulate the crew who worked behind this film Ghajani for the massive success that it now achieved and let's wish all the best for the film in order to become the most successful film in the Indian film history.
