Unnoticed similarities in Dileep films

Dileep is definitely a salable star in Malayalam film industry. He was struggling in box office with poor performances of his last few films. But he got a little bit to enjoy when the film Twenty 20, which he produced as well as acted started well at the box office. After being with the production works of Twenty 20 for about an year, he is now back into acting in full swing.

The interesting thing that i am going to mention hear is about the relation b/w Dileep and the titles of his most of the recent films. May you don't have noticed that almost all of his recent films were having titles in English. Dileep seems to be achieving a record for acting in the maximum number of films with English titles.

Dileep, who started his career in the early 1990’s, had only a few movies with English titles till 2006, e.g. Three Men Army in 1995, Mr. Butler and Joker in 2000, Runway in 2004 and Lion, The Don and Chess in 2006. But from then on, Dileep is continuously signing films with English titles. In 2007, four of his ventures had English titles. Romeo, July 4, Speed Track and Inspector Garud.

The films that he have committed in this current year have not been an exception. Except Mulla, all of the others are having English titles. They were Crazy Gopalan (earlier it was Crazy Rascals), Moses B. Samuel, Body Guard, Colours, Passenger, Culcutta News, Guinness Gilbert, and Gays: The Story of Two Kundans. Above all of these, his latest release as a producer as well as actor, Twenty 20 is too an English title.

Interestingly, most of his films with English titles have done extremely well in the theatres, prompting the producers to follow the trend. This may compell producers to believe that putting an English name for a Dileep movie helps its collection in the box office. So until a major debacle occurs, this way of giving English titles to Dileep's movies will continue. Let this process continue with it's all glory.
