Bollywood's latest movie Raaz - The Mystery Continues has been released worldwide today. It is a horror movie that follows the genre of hits like Bhoot, Phoonk and 1920 etc. The film was produced by Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films. The director of this new horror movie is much experienced Mohit Suri. Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman are the lead actors in the film.Let's check whether the film is good enough to watch? The answer for the question is definitely a big yes. As per the initial reports, the film lives up to the hype and expectations completely. The story is the main highlight of the film which is expected to be a sequel to Vishesh Films yesteryear hit Raaz which was the biggest grosser in Bollywood of that year. Raaz too was a horror movie which featured Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu in the lead role. However, the makers of the Raaz 2 have clarified that it's not a sequel to the Raaz.
The film have excelled in most part of it and will surely end it's run as a profit earner. The film have featured some blunders also but it's overpowered by the excellence of the film. A brooding artist Prithvi [Emraan Hashmi] experiences mysterious and distressing visions about Nandita [Kangna Ranaut], a woman he has never met, while he paints on canvas. Intrigued by these visions, Prithvi tracks her down and warns her that these are not merely paintings of her, but accidents that are waiting to happen.
At first, Nandita refuses to believe him and dismisses him as an eccentric stalker. However, the striking resemblance between Prithvi's paintings and the near-death incidents in her life is hard to ignore.Now, one of Prithvi's paintings has revealed her as dead. The only way she can change her fate is to unravel this mystery with his help, at the risk of alienating herself from her boyfriend, Yash [Adhyayan Suman]. But he refuses to believe in Prithvi's premonitions. Will Nandita risk her love and her life to unravel this mystery?
When it comes to artists, all the lead actors have performed very well out of which Emraan have outraged everyone in the film. He is excellent in the film and is improving day by day which is a good sign of a professional actor. Kangana have made it good just like her previous films like Gangster and Fashion and is on the mission to make it big at the industry. Adhyayan Suman on his debut have showed some promises that he is going to stay here for a while. Jackie Shroff too have done good with his brief role.
On the technical part, the film have excelled in almost all parts and out of which the major thing to be noted is the contribution of the director of the movie, Mohit Suri. He has made it right from the starting, ie from the casting itself. We can easily state that this film will be Mohit's one of the best works so far. He has has filmed it exceptionally well, but there are some mistakes in the process also like the the entire flashback part, towards the pre-climax which is not as convincing. The ending too could've been better in terms of writing. Ravi Walia's cinematography and Shagufta's screenplay are also some among the highlights of the movie.
All in all, Raaz - The Mystery Continues is rich in the horror quotient and that is one of its major USPs, besides the highly competent performances by its principal cast and a very ordinary musical score. Do you like getting scared then you should surely watch this movie for once atleast. The crew of the film have every right to enjoy the output of the movie because they have worked for it restlessly and you can find it when you watch the movie.
