New Malayalam movie, 2 Harihar Nagar is almost complete and is expecting to make a release in this summer itself. The film is a sequel to yesteryear hit In Harihar Nagar, which was released in 1990, about 19 years ago. The film which featured Mukesh, Jagadeesh, Siddique and Asokan in the lead was a trend setter at that time and was directed by director duo Siddique Lal. Now the sequel was being directed by Lal of those Sidique Lal and also will be produced by his own Lal creations and PNV Associates.In Harihar Nagar was the story of four young lads, Mahadevan (Mukesh), Govindankutty (Siddique), Thomaskutty (Asokan) and Appukkuttan (Jagadeesh) getting into troubles when they were trying to woo their beautiful neighbour. In the sequel, all of them are married and settled at various places. Rohini dons the role of an engineer (Mukesh's wife), Lena as a financial advisor in Dubai (Siddique's wife), Fabi as a doctor (Jagadeesh's wife) and Rakhi as a housewife (Asokan's wife).
The story of the new film starts when all of them, once again get settled at their native place together. There they will meet Lakshmi Rai, who too is staying there and the story goes on with them trying to grab her attention. The film revolves around the never-abandoned mischievous behaviours of the fours heroes even after marriage. The sequel too is made with hillarious comedy moments that made the prequel a big massive hit.
Unless direction and production, the script of the movie too is handled by Lal himself. Except the lead four, others in the cast line are Lakshmi Rai, Rohini, Lena, Fabi, Rakhi and Salim Kumar. The cinematography of the movie was done by Venu and songs by Alex Paul.
The film which is one of the most expected films of 2009 is carrying good preview reports and is expected to become a huge money spinner in the history of Malayalam film industry.
