Since the malayalam film 'Katha Parayumbol' went on to become a huge hit, there were related news that both Shah rukh and Rajni kant are going to do this film in hindi and tamil respectively.

The movie which was initially planned to be on theatres by this November seven will now get to theatres only by January. Priyadarshan, director of this movie and his crew are now working hard to stick on with the original version and to avoid more exposure of Shahrukh's guest role.
