The younger superstars of tamil cinema, Vijay and Ajith, both are approaching their 50th film fastly.
Currently, both of them are working in their 48th film. Ajith is working with choreographer turned director Raju sundaram( brother of popular actor-choreographer-director Prabhu Deva) for the film 'Aegan' which is a remake of the 2004 hindi blockbuster 'Main Hoon Na' starring Shah Rukh Khan. This film will reach the theatres for this deepavali, where as Illaya Thalapathi Vijay is currently working in the film 'Villu' which is considered to be a remake of another hindi film 'Soldier'. Interestingly, this film starring VIjay is directed by the 'Pokkiri' fame Prabhu Deva himself. So the current films of these younger superstars are by two real brothers.
After completing 'Aegan', Ajith will join hands with the star director Gautham Menon for a film titled as 'Surangani', which will feature Ajith as a deadly gangster. It will be produced by actor 'Prabhu' under the banner of 'Sivaji Productions'. Further details of this film are awaited. Where as Vijay after completing 'Villu', will go on with the project titled as 'Vettaikaran' which is heard to be produced by the AVM itself.
Vijay's 50th film will be produced by his father S A Chandrasekharan himself. Nothing yet is confirmed, whereas Ajith's case is not even heard.
The fact that two popular heroes of Tamil cinema nearing their 50th film is a moment to cherish for their fans.
