This week's Top 5 in Mollywood......

In another nightmarish week after Onam, none of the films released for Onam maintained the interest among the viewers. While ‘Thirakkatha' after its intense publicity campaigns through print magazines could tap in some of the prospective audiences, all the other films registered great fall in collections. The top five movies in the Box office are,

1. 'Veruthe Oru Bharya' - Jayaram’s comeback movie, continues in 25 release centers with encouraging collections. This clean family entertainer registered its biggest return in the Onam week, but again fell to 40-50 percent in big centers, all through the week. The movie has already made two times the profit than the investment made on it.

2. ‘Thirakkatha' - At number 2 is Renjith's movie, 'Thirakkatha' set in the backdrop of tinsel town. The movie averaged around fifty percent collections in metros and bigger centers. ‘Thirakkatha' is expected to survive the biggies that will arrive for the Ramzan season, next week.

3 'Thalappavu' - Prithviraj's second release of season have some scintillating visuals, good narratives, and off course, good reviews. But the movie remains in 24 release centers with below average collections.

4. 'Thavalam' - Suresh Gopi's new movie, presenting him in a fresh role of a cobbler, continues with its weak run .By the end the second week, the movie stands removed from half of its 38 centers. ‘Thavalam’ is a flop by all means.

5. 'Madambi' - Through its good scheming of run, the movie continues in a three release centers in Kerala. Nearing hundred days, the movie will be brought back to a few more centres to celebrate the Silver Jubilee days. The movie is a second continuous hit for Mohanlal.

Mohanlal's' 'Aakashagopuram' has been erased from all releasing centers. Nithin Ramakrishnan's 'Apoorva’, Krishankumar's ‘Chitra Salabhangalude Veedu’ and Santhanu's Tamil movie 'Sakkarakatti' are the other new releases in the theatres.
